https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/100655

Hello,

Thank you for your patience while we continue troubleshooting this.

The next step is to check the Windows Event Viewer more broadly to see if Windows is reporting anything when the app fails to launch.

Please follow these steps carefully:

  1. Try launching TheBrain again and wait about 10–15 seconds.
  2. Open Event Viewer (you can search for it from the Windows Start menu).
  3. In the left panel, expand Windows Logs and click Application.
  4. In the right panel, click Clear Filter (if it’s currently active).
  5. Click Filter Current Log… again.
  6. Check the boxes for Critical, Warning, and Error, then click OK.
  7. Make sure the list is sorted from newest to oldest by checking the Date and Time column.
  8. Click the Refresh button in the right panel.
  9. See if any new errors or warnings appear around the time you attempted to launch TheBrain.
  10. Click the topmost relevant error or warning.
  11. Scroll down, then hold Shift and click the last error/warning to select all entries in between.
  12. In the right panel, click Save Filtered Log File As… and attach the saved file in your reply.

Additionally, please check Task Manager:

These steps will give us a much clearer picture of what Windows is reporting when the app fails to start.

Once you’ve sent the event log file, we’ll review it and let you know what we find.

Best regards,

John
