Why can’t I insert image #95362
https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/95362
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out! Before diving into the process of adding an image to the text section, let’s first check your settings to ensure everything is configured correctly.
- Go to Options (top-right of your brain) > Preferences > Behavior.
- Under the Content section, locate the option "On drag and drop of files" and ensure it’s set to "Copy dropped files".
Once that’s set, let’s move on to adding your image. If your goal is to insert the image in the text section, follow the steps below. If you’d rather place it directly in the mind map area, simply drag and drop it there.
Adding Images to the Text Section
Method 1: Drag and Drop
- Save the image file to your desktop (or any specific folder).
- Resize TheBrain window from fullscreen to a smaller size for easier access.
- Drag the image file from your desktop (or folder) and drop it directly into the text section of your brain.
Method 2: Copy-Paste
- Open the image in a viewer or locate it in a folder.
- Right-click the image and select Copy.
- Navigate to the text section of your brain and paste it there.
Additional Tips
- If you'd prefer to add the image as an attachment, hover over the top-right corner of the text section, click Attach, and select your image file.
- To ensure the image is embedded properly, you can also right-click in the notes section and paste the image directly.
I hope these steps help resolve your issue! If you encounter any challenges or have further questions, feel free to let us know, we’re here to help.
Best regards,
John
