Hello Pat,

Thank you for the follow-up. I did some checks on our side, including comparing behavior in earlier and current V15 builds. A few versions ago, Outline expansion states in V15 did not persist after closing and reopening a Brain. However, this has since been fixed, in the latest build, expanded thoughts are maintained correctly across sessions.

Because of that, the behavior you’re seeing likely means you are running an older V15 build.

When you have a moment, please update to the newest version:

TheBrain 15 → Settings → Device → Update Channel → switch to Beta or Alpha → install the latest build (15.0.87 or newer).

Once updated, please try the same expand → sync → close → reopen steps again and let me know whether the expansion state is now preserved.

If the issue still appears after updating, please send me two screenshots:

1. What you expect in V14
2. What you see in V15

That will help us identify whether there’s something unique happening in your Brain.
