MAC App Cannot see Brains delete local copy #99415

Hello Erik,

Glad to hear the reset worked, thanks for confirming.

Yes, you can remove just the local copy of that specific Brain and re-download it from the cloud. You don’t need to manually delete files in Finder.

Here’s the easiest way to do it from the desktop app:

  1. Open TheBrain desktop app
  2. Go to the Brains list
  3. Find the Brain named GNG
  4. Click the Brain’s menu (three dots)
  5. Choose Delete Local Copy
  6. After it’s removed locally, select the same Brain again and let it re-download from the cloud

This only removes the local copy on your Mac. The Brain in the cloud is not affected.

Once it finishes downloading, try opening it again and let me know whether it opens normally. If it still refuses to open after a fresh download, we’ll take the next step from there.

Best regards,

John
