Sharing a Synced Brain with a Read-Only User #101057

https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/101057

Hello Jean-Marc,

Yes, you can share the Brain with another user without giving them permission to edit it.

If you want them to only view the Brain and receive your latest synced changes, invite them as a Reader rather than an Editor. A Reader can access the shared Brain but should not be able to make changes to your Brain.

They do not need to be a Pro user just to use TheBrain 15 desktop, since the desktop app is now free. Free accounts also include basic cloud services, including public Brain sync/share and limited private sync/cloud usage. Paid plans mainly increase the service limits, such as private sync capacity, storage, backup, Cerebro AI usage, and collaboration features.

So the answer depends on how you share it:

If the Brain is public, they can view it through the public Brain link.

If you want them to access it privately and keep it read-only, invite their email address with Reader access.

Best regards,

John
