     00:47:00 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: Hi. Thanks for visiting! Can I help you in any way? ;
     00:47:00 - unknown@example.com: I need an installer that does not require administrator privileges on my machine in order to install it.;
     00:47:32 - unknown@example.com: It's also really hard to read this text. It's very light.;
     00:49:40 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: Hello!

We currently do not have an installer that does not require admin rights. In fact, I don't think it is feasible. well yes, it is possible to install some programs on Windows/ MacOS without admin rights, but there are limitations. Most programs require admin privileges to install because they need to make system-wide changes, such as adding files to protected directories (e.g., Program Files ) or modifying system settings.;

     00:50:23 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: And TheBrain's bread and butter is adding, moving files etc. to directories.;
     00:50:58 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: Sorry about the text here :/ It does "flashbang" at times. We will try to work it;
     00:53:43 - unknown@example.com: There actually is a way. (I'm a former Microsoft Premier Field Engineer). The MSIX installer tech from Microsoft lets your installer do the things that used to require admin rights. They can still interact with the rest of the system. And, being a former Microsoft engineer (approx 10 years), I am sure there are ways to do the settings better. I'm happy to provide free consultation for your dev team if they would be interested; I am not interested in providing paid consultation -- this would just be to help them build the better installer, free of charge.;
     00:54:37 - unknown@example.com: My Brain account is registered as com.thebrain@twilightsoul.com.;
     00:56:24 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: Alan? Your name sounds familiar, do you happen to know Harlan personally? Just curious;
     00:56:42 - com.thebrain@twilightsoul.com: I am Alan!;
     00:56:53 - com.thebrain@twilightsoul.com: I don't know Harlan personally, though;
     00:57:07 - com.thebrain@twilightsoul.com: I think I've had some conversations with him on the forum?;
     00:57:59 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: Ah I see. I apologize for asking. I mistook you for another.

Continuing, it is such an honor to chat with you.;

     00:59:16 - com.thebrain@twilightsoul.com: Anything I can do to help. I really enjoy using the brain, but I need to be able to install it on this machine without requiring the admin level install;
     01:00:43 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: Perhaps the dev team may have an msix installer somewhere (nothing official though), I need to confirm with them about it first. However, all our hands are full at the moment, It might take a while to get a response. I hope you don't mind, I can record the conversation and we can continue via email just to keep track.;
     01:02:35 - com.thebrain@twilightsoul.com: Sure, that would be good. It might be easier than they think. Maybe? I'd appreciate any opportunity to help them make the product easier for people to install (and uninstalling an MSIX is far more reliable and clean than other setup tech).;
     01:04:19 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: I will also let them know about your willingness to collaborate, though the veto depends on them and their hectic schedule.

Perhaps it is easier and I might be overthinking XD. I will just confirm with them and let you know :);

     01:04:37 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: /record;
     01:04:54 - com.thebrain@twilightsoul.com: Awesome! I look forward to hearing from you and/or the team.;
     01:06:08 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: I appreciate your patience, we will continue via email when this chat ends, in the mean time, do you have any other things you'd like to ask me/;
     01:06:24 - com.thebrain@twilightsoul.com: No, but thank you for doing what you can do!;
     01:07:54 - ysuratwala@thebrain.com: That's cool! Will be in touch with you soon! Have a good one :);
     01:08:04 - com.thebrain@twilightsoul.com: Thanks, you too!;
