Technical Issue Question about Double Arrow Link if Possible #99285
https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/99285
Hello Zhuly,
Thank you for your question and for including the screenshot.
In TheBrain, links are directional by design and each link represents a specific relationship type:
- A one-way arrow indicates a directional relationship (from one thought to another).
- A two-way relationship is represented by a single link without arrowheads, meaning the connection is bidirectional.
Because of this design, it isn’t possible to place two separate double-headed arrows between the same two thoughts. TheBrain does not support multiple simultaneous directional indicators on a single pair of thoughts, as each link is meant to clearly represent one logical relationship.
If you’re trying to represent multiple types of relationships between the same two ideas, a common workaround is to:
- Use different link types (with different colors or styles), or
- Introduce an intermediate thought that explains or categorizes the different relationships.
I hope this helps clarify how links work in TheBrain. Please let me know if you’d like suggestions on modeling your specific use case.
Best regards,
John
