Olaf Brugman, Table Undo Behavior #100531
https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/100531
Hello Olaf,
Thank you for reporting this, and I’m sorry about the lost table. I understand how frustrating that is, especially when you expect Undo to restore the last edit.
Undo should normally continue to work for note edits, including table edits, until the next time the Brain syncs. Once the Brain syncs, the undo stack is cleared, so Undo may no longer be able to restore a deleted table or other note content after that point.
That may explain why the table did not come back when you tried Undo.
For the lost table itself, recovery may depend on whether you have an older backup or another copy of the Brain from before the deletion. If the Brain was already synced after the table was removed, Undo would no longer be able to recover it.
I’ll also note your feedback about table selection and Undo behavior in the notes editor. I agree that accidental table deletion is frustrating, and the editor should make this kind of action as safe and recoverable as possible.
Best regards,
John
