Answering Daniel Sander’s Query #97620

Hello Daniel,
Thanks for reaching out, great questions!
Yes, TheBrain is cross-platform, so you can install it on multiple devices and keep everything in sync using the same account.
You have two main options for organizing your work and personal information:
- You can create separate Brains (e.g., one for Home, one for Work), or
- Keep everything in one unified Brain and organize using Thought types, tags, colors, and structures.
For your case with 7–10 interconnected projects, you could have each project represented as its own Thought with a unique color, and then interlink them wherever overlaps or shared resources exist. This is exactly the kind of complex relationship mapping TheBrain excels at.
In terms of what you can attach to a Thought, you can get quite detailed:
- Add emails, documents, quotes, terms, or any files as attachments
- Create reminders, timeline events, and set up alerts
- Add notes, images, or even paste in web clippings and links
Here’s a quick video that gives a great overview of building a project management Brain:
