Plex and Note Panel Swapping Locations on Mouse Wheel Click #99766

https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/99766

Hello Bill,

Thank you for reaching out, and I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying the program.

Clicking the mouse wheel to expand or collapse thoughts should not cause the Plex and Notes panels to swap positions, so we will need a bit more detail to understand what is happening.

Could you please let us know:

• Your operating system (Windows or macOS, and version)

• Your exact TheBrain version (from Help > About)

• Whether you are using a custom layout or the default layout

• Whether this happens in a specific view such as Plex, Outline, or Mind Map

If possible, a short screen recording showing the behavior would be extremely helpful.

Also, after it happens, please send us your Output.log:

Windows:

C:\Users[username]\AppData\Local\TheBrain\Logs\Output.log

macOS:

~/.TheBrain/v9/Logs/Output.log

That will allow us to check whether a layout event is being triggered unexpectedly.

We’ll take it from there once we review the details.

Best regards,

John
