Thank you for reaching out. I’m sorry for the frustrating experience after installing TheBrain 15.

TheBrain 15 should generally start and respond much faster than what you are describing, so I’d like to take a closer look at what is happening on your system rather than treat that as normal behavior.

Could you please send us the Output.log after reproducing the slowdown?

On Windows:

• Open TheBrain 15

• Try the action that feels slow, such as startup, opening a Brain, switching thoughts, searching, or editing notes

• Then go to Main Menu > Help > Open Log Directory

• Attach the file named Output.log

Please also let us know:

• Is TheBrain slow to start, slow after opening a Brain, or slow when switching thoughts?

• Does this happen with every Brain or only one specific Brain?

• Is the Brain synced to TheBrain Cloud?

• About how many thoughts or attachments does the Brain have?

• Are you using Light Sync Attachments?

Once we have the log and a clearer idea of where the slowdown is happening, we can investigate what is causing it, and get you back up to speed 🙂
