Thank you for reaching out, and I understand why this would be critical if markdown editing is central to your workflow.

At this time, the current mobile apps on iPhone and iPad do not support direct editing of attachment files such as .MD or .TXT within TheBrain. While you can open attachments using the Share option into a third party editor, changes do not automatically write back into TheBrain’s attachment container.

Full attachment editing is currently supported on the desktop application.

That said, we are actively working on the new v15 mobile platform. The upcoming mobile version will bring the vast majority of desktop functionality to mobile, including significantly improved feature parity. We expect to begin beta testing soon.

So what you are looking for is aligned with where the product is heading, but it is not yet available in the current mobile app.
