Currently, TheBrain v14 does not include built-in OCR (Optical Character Recognition) functionality, meaning it cannot directly extract or refer to typed text embedded in images such as PNGs, JPEGs, or BMPs. However, you can still attach images or scanned documents to thoughts in your Brain for organization and reference.

For extracting text from images, tools like SnagIt or other OCR software remain the best solution. Once the text has been extracted, you can copy and paste it into a thought’s notes section or associate it with the appropriate thought for easy access within TheBrain.
