Hello Lary,
Thank you for your message, and I hope you’re enjoying the holiday week as well.
On macOS, the Options › Preferences menu is located in a different place than on Windows, which is why you weren’t seeing it on your desktop.
To open it on your Mac, please do the following:
- Open TheBrain.
- In the very top-left of your screen (the macOS menu bar), click TheBrain next to the Apple logo.
- Choose Preferences… from that menu.
That will open the same panel where you can check the Look and Feel settings.
On iPad, this menu doesn’t appear at all, iOS and iPadOS use their own app settings, so that’s why you weren’t seeing it there either.
Once you’re able to open Preferences on your Mac, go ahead and verify the Look and Feel settings (theme), and let me know if the Notes area still appears light afterward. If so, we can take the next step and check the note theme inside the editor. (See previous emails)
Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving as well, and I’m here whenever you’re ready.
Best regards,
John
