Thank you for the detailed follow-up and for sending the Output.log.

The account connection detail is helpful. I tested the signed-in / disconnected behavior on our side, but I was not able to reproduce the issue here. Custom key bindings stayed saved after restarting TheBrain, and they were still present after signing back into the same account.

One expected behavior I did confirm is that custom key bindings can be account/user-specific. So if TheBrain is signed into a different account, the same custom binding may not appear there, but it should return when signing back into the original account.

I also noted that your Windows Documents folder is under OneDrive:

C:\Users\leonc\OneDrive\Documents

That may or may not be related. The important thing to check is the actual Brain Data Folder used by TheBrain. TheBrain’s live Brain data folder should not be stored inside OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive, or another third-party sync folder, because that can cause file conflicts or data problems.

Could you please check this in TheBrain?

Main Menu > Settings > Device > Brain Data Folder

Please send us the path shown there. If it is inside OneDrive, please do not move it manually yet. Let us know the path first, and we can advise on the safest next step.

For now, please avoid changing Windows folder permissions manually, since we do not want to risk disrupting the Windows or OneDrive setup on your neighbor’s PC.
