"Installing required frameworks 15% . . ." #99000

Hello Bill,
Thank you for reaching out, and thank you for being a long time user of TheBrain.
That “Installing required frameworks 15%” step is usually a Windows dependency issue rather than TheBrain itself. On some Windows 10 systems, the MSIX installer can stall if Windows App Installer or required frameworks are blocked, outdated, or partially disabled.
First, please confirm two quick details so I can narrow this down correctly:
Which TheBrain installer are you trying to install (14, or 15 beta), and what is the exact version number shown on the download you selected?
What Windows 10 version and build are you on? (Settings, System, About)
In the meantime, the best workaround is to install using the Windows EXE installer, which bypasses the MSIX App Installer path:
Go to our downloads page https://thebrain.com/download and choose the Windows EXE installer (not MSIX), then run it.
If the EXE installer works, we can stop there. If it still hangs, tell me exactly what percentage it stops at and whether any message appears. There is no TheBrain Output.log to collect yet since the application is not completing installation, but a system log would do 🙂
Best regards,
John
