Cris Cintolesi mobile device recommendations Android iOS stability #100070

Hello Cris,

Great question, and it’s a good move to think about this if you plan to rely on TheBrain more while on the go.

There are a few practical differences between devices:

On iOS, performance tends to be more consistent across devices, and the app is generally more stable due to tighter hardware and software integration.

On Android, performance can vary more depending on the chipset and memory, which is likely why you’re seeing crashes on the Samsung Galaxy A35.

In terms of recommendations:

For Android

• Aim for a device with a flagship-level chipset, such as Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 or newer (Gen 2 / Gen 3)

• At least 8 GB RAM, ideally 12 GB if you work with larger Brains

For iOS

• iPhone 14 Pro or newer is a solid baseline

• Any recent Pro or newer-generation iPhone/iPad will handle TheBrain smoothly

Between phone and tablet

• Phones are fine for quick capture and navigation

• Tablets (iPad or larger Android tablets) are noticeably better for working with larger structures and more complex navigation

Your current device (Galaxy A35) is mid-range, so the crashes you’re experiencing are likely due to resource limits rather than anything specific you’re doing.

If your goal is a smooth, reliable experience, moving to a flagship device will make a significant difference.

Best regards,

John
