Upgrading old brain (Fixed BRZ) #97834

https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/97834

Hello Stephen,

Thank you for reaching out and for sharing your files with us. I went ahead and converted your old Teaching.brain so it’s ready to use in current versions of TheBrain. I’ve attached two versions for you:

• A .brz file which you can import directly into TheBrain 9 or later
• A .brainzip file if you’d like to work with TheBrain 8 or earlier

I worked directly with the Teaching.zip you sent. If you notice that anything is missing in the imported Brain, we can also take another look at the Brains.zip you mentioned to see if it contains a more recent version.

As for licensing, I definitely understand where you’re coming from. Right now, the options available are the Free Edition and our Pro subscriptions or Pro License, which you can compare here: https://thebrain.com/store/compare-editions. I’ve passed along your feedback about an “Amateur” tier, it’s always helpful for us to hear how people would like to use TheBrain outside of professional contexts.

Please give the attached files a try and let me know how it goes. If anything looks out of place or if you’d like me to recheck the Brains.zip for completeness, I’d be happy to help.

Best regards,

John
