Recommendation for laptop (Issue solved) #95695

https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/95695

Hello Peter,

I’m glad to hear that updating the Intel Iris Xe graphics driver resolved the issue! Regarding your question about hardware recommendations for running TheBrain optimally, here are my suggestions:

  1. Operating System:
    • Windows 11 is ideal, as it provides the latest compatibility and performance enhancements.
  1. RAM:
    • For handling large Brains and multitasking efficiently, I recommend 24 GB or 32 GB of RAM. This will ensure smooth performance, especially when working with resource-intensive applications.
  1. Processor and Storage:
    • Both AMD Ryzen 7/9 and Intel i7/i9 processors are excellent choices, but I suggest considering AMD’s options due to known issues with Intel’s 13th and 14th generation chips (related to stability and oxidation concerns). A fast SSD is also essential for optimal performance.
  1. GPU (Graphics Processing Unit):
    • If your workload includes graphical tasks or requires high performance, I recommend the RTX 4060 series or higher for reliable performance. The RTX 50 series currently doesn’t offer much improvement over the 40 series, so it may be best to avoid it.
  1. Microsoft Copilot+ Laptops:
    • Laptops using Snapdragon or ARM-based Windows 11 configurations should work fine with TheBrain. They can handle large Brains efficiently, provided they have sufficient RAM and processing power.

If you have specific models or configurations in mind, feel free to share, and I’d be happy to provide further feedback!

Best regards,

John
