Hello Roger,

Thank you again for your patience and for sending the updated logs.

Based on what we’re seeing, the next step is to reset the local MetaDB on your Mac. This will clear any corrupted local cache that might be preventing TheBrain 15 from launching correctly, while keeping your actual Brain data safe in the cloud.

Please follow these steps:

  1. Quit TheBrain completely so it is not running in the background.
  2. On your Mac, open Finder, then click Go in the menu bar and choose Go to Folder.
  3. In the box that appears, paste this path and press Enter:
  4. ~/.TheBrain/v9/MetaDB
  5. In that folder, find the file named:
  6. TheBrainMeta.db
  7. Rename that file to:
  8. TheBrainMeta.db.old
  9. Once that is done, launch TheBrain 15 again and sign in if prompted. It will create a fresh local database and then reload your Brains from the server.

After you do this, please let me know whether TheBrain 15 still hangs at launch. If it does, send the new Output.log created after this attempt and I’ll review it right away.

Best regards,

John
