Narrowing Freeze on Specific Large Thought + Data for Repro #99995

Thank you for the video and the additional details.

From what you’ve described, it looks like this may be one core issue where TheBrain freezes on Thoughts with very large notes and/or many attachments, and in some cases when pasting larger text. To avoid going back and forth, I’d like to narrow this down and collect everything we need in one go.

Could you help with the following:

• When you click the “large” Thought, does it freeze immediately even without editing, or only after you paste or modify content?

• Is it always the same specific Thought(s), or does it happen on any Thought once it reaches a certain size?

If it is tied to specific Thoughts, it would really help to inspect one of them directly:

• Navigate to that Thought

• Press Ctrl + Shift + F to open its Thought folder

• From there, you can see the attachments and note content files associated with it

If possible, please send:

• a short screen recording showing the freeze

• the latest Output.log right after it happens

• and if you’re comfortable, a zipped copy of that Thought’s folder (or at least a sample of the attachments and .md involved)

This will allow us to reproduce and pinpoint the exact cause without putting your data at risk.

In the meantime, a temporary workaround would be to avoid opening those specific large Thoughts until we identify what is triggering the freeze.
