Constant syncing and Timing problems #99464

https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/99464

Hello Mattias,

Thank you for sharing the log excerpt, that helps clarify what’s happening.

From the log, the sync interruptions themselves are being triggered by network connection resets (“connection reset by peer”), which typically points to a temporary network, firewall, VPN, or ISP-level interruption rather than a Brain data issue.

The “time” warning you’re seeing can still appear even when the system clock looks correct. The tolerance for time differences during secure sync is very small, and even a few seconds of drift can sometimes cause the server to reject a request, especially if the connection is already unstable.

As a first step, please check how closely your system time matches an authoritative source by comparing it with the “Your clock is off by” indicator at:

https://www.time.gov

Even when set to automatic, system clocks can drift slightly. If you see any offset, I recommend forcing a time resync using your operating system’s official time server. For Windows, this guide walks through the process clearly:

https://allthings.how/how-to-sync-time-in-windows-11/

If possible, it would also help to temporarily test without any VPN or network filtering software active, since those can cause the kind of connection resets shown in your log.

After trying the above, please let us know whether the sync warnings continue, and we can take the next step.

Best regards,

John
