Thank you for sending the zip and the additional context.

I checked on the .bak.ignore files. Those are backup copies of note files that were created when significant note changes were made. This was added during the earlier version 15 notes editor work as a safeguard while the new notes editor was being developed.

So the presence of those files is not itself a sign of a current conflict or corruption.

That said, I understand your larger concern about long term note file cleanup, especially combined with the older notes.html and Notes.md legacy situation from earlier versions. I’m going to keep that as a separate cleanup and maintenance concern rather than treating the .bak.ignore files as an active error.
