Cerebro AI Data Processing / GDPR Clarification #100942

https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/100942

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out and for laying out your questions clearly.

TheBrain’s AI features, including Cerebro, are optional. When you use Cerebro, the prompts and content you submit are processed for the purpose of providing the AI response.

Regarding AI model training: TheBrain does not use your prompts, Brain content, submitted context, or generated AI responses to train AI models.

Cerebro leverages OpenAI for AI processing, so the prompts/content submitted to Cerebro are sent to OpenAI in order to generate the response. OpenAI’s handling of that data is governed by their own privacy and data processing terms.

Regarding retention on TheBrain’s side: TheBrain does not store your AI conversation data on our servers for separate retention or training purposes.

There is an AI history button in Cerebro that lets you resume previous Cerebro conversations. That history is stored on your end and is not automatically deleted. You can delete those conversations whenever you like from Cerebro.

So in summary:

• TheBrain does not use Cerebro prompts, Brain content, or AI responses for model training.

• TheBrain does not store AI conversation data on our servers for separate retention or training.

• Cerebro conversation history is stored on your end so you can resume or delete it.

• AI processing is handled through OpenAI, and OpenAI’s own privacy/data handling terms apply to that processing.

Best regards,

John
