To determine if there is a link attached to your node, you can check the gate (node) icon. If it appears solid, that indicates there is a link, while a hollow gate (node) means there’s no link present.

If you’re looking to see if there are any files attached, this will be indicated by a number.

For child thoughts, if there is only one link, you have to hover over the thought icon, and it will display the number of attachments. If there are two or more links, this information will be shown automatically.
