Follow-up to Sandra #97095

Hello Sandra,
Thank you for following up, and that’s a great question.
TheBrain can definitely be used to visually organize and connect a large number of files, including images, notes, categories, and metadata using tags and markdown in notes. However, it's important to set expectations when working at the scale you're describing.
If you plan to use TheBrain strictly offline, you can add as many photos as your local drive allows. The limit in that case would be your computer’s storage, not the app itself.
If you want to sync your data to the cloud, there is a 30GB sync storage limit, which you would likely reach quickly if you're adding thousands of full-resolution images.
That said, many users with media-heavy workflows:
- Link to external files or folders (e.g., stored in Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.), which keeps your Brain light and avoids storage limits.
- Use TheBrain more for organizing relationships and metadata than storing raw files.
So yes, it can be a powerful visual archive tool, especially if you're linking to content stored elsewhere and using TheBrain as the interface to navigate and connect everything.
Back to the issue at hand, it would be very helpful if you could send us a screen recording of the issue that you are facing so we can have a better look as to why the tutorial videos are not working from your end, but our initial testing shows no problem from our end, so we would like to confirm
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Best regards,
John
