Note Editor View Jumping to Top While Typing #100766

Hello Brenda,

Thank you for the update, and I’m sorry this is making the app difficult to use.

Since this started after the last couple of updates and the cursor stays in place while the visible note area jumps back to the top, we need to see the behavior in action so we can narrow down what is triggering it.

Could you please send us a short screen recording showing:

1. The note positioned lower down in the thought
2. You typing or editing in that lower section
3. The moment the view jumps back to the top while the cursor remains lower in the note
4. (You can use something like https://screenpal.com/)

If possible, please also send the affected thought’s Notes.md file so we can test with the same note structure/content.

To get that file:

On Windows, open the affected thought and press:

Ctrl + Shift + F

On Mac, open the affected thought and press:

Command + Shift + F

That should open the folder for the thought’s note file. Please send the file named:

Notes.md

Please also let us know your current TheBrain version number from:

Main Menu > Help > About TheBrain

Once we have the recording and the note file, we can review whether this is tied to the latest editor updates, the length/content of the note, images, links, or another layout trigger.
