Thank you for the additional information.

We tested the built in screen capture behavior on macOS, but we were not able to reproduce the black box result on our side.

In the past, similar capture issues have sometimes been related to display setup, such as multiple monitors, resolution differences, or display scaling. Since this is the older built in capture tool in TheBrain 14, we do not have a fix planned for that capture feature.

The best workaround is to use the macOS screenshot tools instead, then paste or attach the captured image into the thought.

On macOS, you can use:

Command + Shift + 4

Then select the area you want to capture. After saving or copying the screenshot, you can paste it into the note or add it as an attachment in TheBrain.
