Thank you for your patience while we reviewed this.

Based on the behavior you described, this appears to line up with a known issue where custom keyboard bindings may not be saved correctly while TheBrain is being used in Guest Mode or while disconnected from an account.

That also matches your test: the key bindings were retained while TheBrain was connected to the account, but were not retained after restarting when disconnected.

For now, the best workaround is to stay signed in to the account when customizing and using keyboard bindings. If TheBrain is disconnected or in Guest Mode, those custom key binding changes may not persist after restart.

We are already aware of this Guest Mode keybinding issue and are working on resolving it.

The OneDrive/Documents folder detail does not appear to be the main cause of this specific key binding behavior. Still, it is a good idea to make sure TheBrain’s actual Brain Data Folder is not stored inside OneDrive or another sync-managed folder.
