Lary again ... Bruh #98828

https://thebrain.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/98828

Hello Lary,

Thank you for the update, and I really appreciate your patience. I’m glad to hear you’re heading into surgery with a positive outlook, and I wish you a smooth recovery.

I do want to explain why we haven’t been able to identify the problematic attachment yet, and what we need to do next so we can get your devices syncing again as quickly as possible.

In this case, the Brain isn’t actually attempting a sync, so neither the app logs nor our server logs are showing the attachment that’s blocking things. To make the issue visible, we need to deliberately trigger a fresh sync error and capture the log immediately afterward.

When you’re able, could you please do the following on the device that is not syncing:

  1. Open the affected Brain.
  2. Make a small change, for example add a temporary test thought.
  3. Manually tap the Sync button.
  4. Wait for the sync error message to appear.
  5. As soon as it does, please send us the newly updated Output.log.

That sequence is the only way for us to clearly see which attachment is causing the block, so we can advise on renaming or removing it and get your iPad syncing again.

There’s no urgency on our side while you’re recovering, but once you’re feeling better, it would also be very helpful for us to understand how these attachments are being added in the first place. Knowing that will help us prevent this from happening again, rather than needing to repeat this process every few weeks.

Please focus on your recovery first, and just let me know when you’re ready to proceed. I’m here to help whenever you are.

Best regards,

John
