Thank you for the clarification and the updated links, we’ve replaced your earlier message in the ticket with this corrected version to keep everything in one place.

We really appreciate the detailed videos and the log file. They’ve been very helpful in understanding what’s happening when linking files versus folders in TheBrain 15.

Based on your description, it appears that links to folders are still being handled correctly, while links to individual files, especially from a network drive or shared path, are not being registered as expected.

To help us reproduce this accurately, could you please send us the exact file path of one or two sample files where this behavior occurs (for example: Z:\Projects\Audio\Clip1.wav or \\ServerName\Shared\Docs\Report.docx)

We’ll test those paths directly in our current build to verify whether this is a regression in the v15 handling of external file links.
