Hello,

You can control this behavior in Settings.

In TheBrain 15, please go to:

Main Menu (☰) → Settings → User → Content Area

There you’ll find the option to open document and URL attachments automatically when selecting a related thought. Enable that setting, and attached documents will open immediately in the editor/content area when you click the thought.

If you’re referring to a specific file type (PDF, Word, etc.) or seeing different behavior, feel free to let me know and I can help narrow it down.
