Thank you for writing in and for sending the screenshot.
This does sound like Microsoft Smart App Control on Windows 11 is blocking the update, rather than a problem with the TheBrain installer itself.
Please try this on your Windows machine:
- Open Windows Security
- Go to App & browser control
- Open Smart App Control
- Temporarily turn it off, then try the TheBrain 14.0.115.0 update again
Microsoft’s documentation confirms that Smart App Control can block app installs or updates, and that disabling it may be necessary in those cases. One important note is that depending on your Windows configuration, turning it off may not be easily reversible without additional Windows setup steps, so if this is a managed machine, you may want to coordinate with your IT team first. (Thebrain is safe, the warnings are false positives)
