Completely remove the brain macos #99739

Hello Erik,

Thank you for the update.

The steps I sent earlier reset the local Brain configuration, but if you would like to completely remove TheBrain and start with a fully clean installation, you can do the following on macOS:

1. Remove the application

• Open Finder

• Go to Applications

• Drag TheBrain to the Trash

2. Remove local data folders

In Finder, click Go > Go to Folder, then remove the following folders if they exist:

~/Brains
~/.TheBrain

3. Empty the Trash

After removing those folders, empty the Trash.

4. Reinstall TheBrain

Download the latest version here:

https://www.thebrain.com/download

Install it, sign in again, and TheBrain will rebuild the local configuration and allow you to download your Brains from the cloud.

Since your Brains are visible in the web client and on your iPhone, your data remains safe and will re-sync after reinstalling.
