<p>There are inevitably going to be occasions on which specifications are dominant considerations in projects and procurements (acquisitions). The sourcing of safety critical systems is an example.</p>

<p>This does not mean however that the Business Case can be ignored. Continued Business Justification is and should remain a guiding principle of projects.</p>

<p>Guidelines or advice created to support Benefits Traceability should include ways to identify what situations are and are not suitable for benefits led acquisition.</p>
