Movement of Fungi

Fungi carry out movement primarily through the

following mechanisms:

1. Growth of hyphae extends fungi toward nutrients and favorable conditions.
2. Spores can move passively using wind, water, or animals. Some fungi produce flagellated spores (zoospores) that can swim in water.
