MODULE 1: WHY THIS COURSE?

We'll take a look at several topics in this module. First of all, the course is important because the climate IS breaking down, and I'll explain a little later why I use that term as opposed to climate change or global warming or something else. But it is happening. It's already happening, and it's been happening for a long time.
Whose fault is it? A big question in the context of individuals and climate change. Whose responsibility is it to actually tackle climate change? Does every little bit help? That’s probably something that you've heard all the time, that every little bit helps. And so, get out there and do something.
Does recycling help? An interesting question. Most people, if you ask them what are you doing about climate change, their answer will be “I recycle.” And so, these are important questions for setting the stage for why individuals not only need to be thinking about climate change, but rethinking their role in tackling climate change.
