<p class="MsoNormal">My business partners at EarthRisk will continue to lead that team as they always have and I remain an active and vested owner closely working with EarthRisk’s leadership team. The team in San Diego remains laser focused on customers in energy and agriculture trading. Unique new modeling technology coupled with EarthRisk’s meteorology team drives their mission to alert customers of Weather Driven Trading Opportunities.
EarthRisk’s products and services are always evolving. The team is working on energy demand forecasts driven by various inputs including numerical forecast models, TempRisk Apollo, and the experienced forecast team. EarthRisk also continues to develop tools rooted in the GFS and ECMWF but focused on providing “Weather Odds” to help determine size/scale/tenor of trading opportunities. Probabilistic distributions of heating, cooling, and growing degree day (HDD/CDD/GDD) forecasts are also in development. It all boils down to quantified objective forecast confidence. Confidence to identify potential opportunities where market conditions are not accurately priced as a function of the true weather risks. True to the mission, EarthRisk remains focused on helping energy and agriculture traders identify and maximize weather-driven trading opportunities.</p>
