Quick Drop Thoughts = BrainBox Alternative
Quick Drop Thoughts = BrainBox Alternative
Since the content added into TheBrain's BrainBox is not accessible using TheBrain's search function, and cannot be added into TheBrain's selection box, the BrainBox has not been particularly useful for me.
Instead, I've simply created an "InBox" thought within my private megabrain, and then I've added a variety of topical and annual "Quick Drop" child thoughts that I use as temporary parents for any resources and links that I don't have time to fully integrate within my brain.
- I have either my main "In Box" thought, or this year's annual "Quick Drop" thought, pinned to the top of my plex so it is always quick and easy to access.
- In addition, I can also add in a few reminders about the newly added content into the thought note, if necessary, which is not currently possible using the BrainBox ~ or I can just add a note all by itself.
This "quick drop" strategy allows me to easily find this new content using TheBrain's search function ~ and then I can integrate these items more fully into my brain when I have more time later on.
See Sample Quick Drop Thought for details.
