Transition
- If you bought a license at any time we’re giving you 12 months of Pro services at no charge.
- If you bought a license after April 15, 2026 we’re happy to provide a full refund if you choose, but we hope you’ll instead take advantage of 18 months of Pro services and continue to support the development of your favorite knowledge platform.
- If you have a combo license + subscription you’ll be able to keep your current services at $159 per year, a savings of $21 off the new rate, for as long as your subscription stays active. If you had a combo subscription at any time in the past but it has lapsed, you can still get the discounted rate by renewing before October 1.
Storage Update | Harlan * 06.23.26
- If you are already on the Pro Combo subscription, you likely don't have to do anything - you will continue to receive the same services at the same rate for as long as you maintain your subscription - this is a meaningful discount vs the new rates going forward.
- If you aren't over the Pro 30 GB limit (which a very small number of people are) and aren't running into the AI quotas (which again is a minority), you don't need to upgrade as nothing is changing.
- At certain milestones of storage capacity, the app will inform you and give you a link in case you want to upgrade (happens at 50%, 75%, 95% and 100% if I recall correctly).
- If you go beyond your capacity, the app will allow you to continue to sync but you should consider either upgrading to TeamBrain (100 GB) or Max (250 GB).
- Eventually we will have to start enforcing the capacity limits. If you'd prefer not to upgrade, the app will tell you which brains are using the most space and from there you can use the reports to find the "Huge (100+ MB)" files that are likely consuming most of your storage - link them externally to save space.
1000 Thought Limit on Free Accounts | Harlan * 07.08.26
- The 1000 thought limit for free use grandfathers in any previously existing thoughts you had made before the change.
