Vulcan Resource Consumption

Issue Summary

Yesterday evening my partner loaded my new public brain in his Firefox browser, running on Linux:

• DiscoveryNow.net

Without even beginning to navigate within this brain, he noticed that Vulcan began munching the resources in his browser significantly.

Is this level of resource consumption to be expected?

• If so, why?
• If not, what can be done to prevent this from happening?
