Local API

The desktop clients now expose a local HTTP API, unlocking automation far beyond what keyboard macros can do. Drive TheBrain from scripts, AI agents, and external tools — create and link thoughts, run commands, query brain data, and wire TheBrain into your broader workflows and integrations. The local API is dramatically faster than the cloud API, and results appear in the running client in real time.
