Extra Line Spaces
Current Sync Issue
Extra line spaces are now being inserted at the bottom of my web client notes after I sync. Seemed like this issue was resolved previously, but now it has returned again.
History
- 03.15.25: Issue reported again in the forum
- 03.22.25: DavidH confirmed he's having the same problem, too
- 03.23.25: Harlan said they will test if we can provide steps to replicate the problem with spaces being added at the end of notes
- 03.24.25: Test to see if extra line spaces are added when this note is synced.
- 08.10.25: All 3 problems now seem to be resolved in the web client. (See details below.)
- However, the extra line spaces are now occurring in the desktop. < Forum reply pending . . . .
Older Sync Issues
- (1) Synced changes from the desktop are not showing up automatically. Even navigating away from the edited thought, and then returning to it, is not revealing the recently synced edits. Instead, I have to completely refresh the page for the recent edits to appear, and then my navigation history is lost.
- (2) Multiple line spaces are now being inserted again at the bottom of the notes in new thoughts in the web client
- (3) I just now realized another, more serious sync issue has developed. I just now edited a thought label in the desktop, and the edit is NOT showing up in the web client, even after refreshing the page.
- See 2 attached screenshots above.
- [Later] Correction: Looks like the sync fail I identified (in #3 above) was actually just a sync delay. After multiple consecutive edits and syncs, the label edits finally did appear.
Workarounds: Troubleshooting Sync Delays
- FWIW, these multiple edits and syncs is a workaround for sync delays that Matt recommended back in February of 2023.
- Harlan also previously recommended closing and reopening the browser (to clear the cache), if others are running into this issue, as well.
Status
- 02.24.25: All 3 issues reported in the forum, and along with the 2 attached screenshots
- 02.24.25: Sync delay resolved within just a few hours
