Play → potential space
The false binary inner world ↔ external reality is interrupted by an intermediate experiential field: potential space.
Potential space is neither private fantasy nor objective external world. It is where play, symbol, relation, creativity and culture become possible.
The transitional object is materially real but carries psychic investment: object as relational medium.
This does not reduce art to therapy. The epistemic move is that real and imaginary are not simple opposites; experience can hold both simultaneously. Art happens in-between.
