PRECISION CREATES VULNERABILITY
PRECISION CREATES VULNERABILITY
Physical precision does not necessarily protect the performer from exposure.
It can intensify exposure by making the encounter more direct.
Examples include:
- maintaining one muscular register;
- meeting one spectator’s gaze;
- remaining visible without readable feedback;
- holding a painted form in a living body;
- continuing while blindfolded.
The clearer the frame becomes, the more visible the performer’s vulnerability may become.
