gives me 2 but if do
 
7.0/3  it gives me a float  2.3333
 
"bob" or 'bob'  returns "bob"   a string
 
note:  the python interpreter goes thru a READ, EVAL, PRINT loop
 
>>>  bob=2   means  bob gets 2
 
>>> bob  will return 2
 
>>>  jane = 3
