This topic largely deals with WISDOM formally and metawisdom (statements characterizing wisdom itself)
It also includes GREAT WISDOM: broadly applicable, ancient important teachings (also see individual religions)
Also see the closely related section: Life Lessons Homily Morals Platitudes Practical Advice
for SMALL WISDOM

An interesting thought - where does WISDOM go in the hierarchy:
obviously it associates with philosophy, ancient wisdom, religion, spirit psychology,
psychology, sociology, ecology, positive psychology, values - it could be hooked to any of these items,
but it is so central to me that I have given it its own category.

Interestingly - it invariably has POSITIVE VALENCE; what Machiavelli does or Hitler or Stalin (the evil geniuses)
no one refers to as wisdom - it certainly is intelligence but with such a foul aim (self aggrandizement, self-centered, - wholesale disrregard of the welfare of others -
the opposite of the greatest good for the greatest number) that it flies in the face of wisdom.

I am motivated to create this link tonite by my unearthing Jerry Michalski's collection of wisdom.
Jerry's credo: OPEN, TRUST - shared.
