restriction of FODMAPs has a good effect on IBS !!!
see study from Monash U, Melbourne.

poor absorp of FODMAPS is common to everyone!!!
if not absorb in small intestine... they ferment in large bowel.

FRUCTANS: from Jerusalem artichokes !!!

GALACTANS: pulses and beans!!!

POLYOLS; berries, peas, cherries, APPLES, peaches, nectarines, AVOCADO,
mushrooms... also in artific. sweeteners !!!!!!!!!

FRUCTOSE: see wiki table in Fructose Malabsorption:
APPLES!!!! PEARS, HFCS, bad

LACTOSE: MILK forget it!
but note (butter:lactose is WATER soluble and most is removed when making butter!)

CHEESES: if fermented over 2 years then almost no lactose!
traditional Cheddar might contain 10% of lactose in whole milk but watch out for commercial cheese.

LOOK AT TABLE OF LACTOSE FOODS: butter: almost NONE!
same with cheddar cheese!
