User Administration
Overview
On self-hosted enterprise deployments, User Administration is where an admin manages the people who can use the system, in the web app. It's a separate, admin-only surface from TeamBrain organization management (see TeamBrain Overview) — aimed at managing user accounts themselves. Administrator accounts only exist on these enterprise deployments, so on the standard TheBrain cloud there's no Manage Users link and this surface isn't reachable.
The User List
Manage Users in the account menu opens the Users page (the /users page), which lists users with a Filter users box to find one, and a New User button to create one. Click a user to open a menu where administrators can:
- Edit User — change their details and account type.
- Enable User — a check mark shows that the account is enabled; choose it to turn the account off or on (you can't disable your own account).
- Send Password Reset Email — help a user who's locked out.
- AI Limits — set that user's AI usage limits. It is offered when AI is set up on the server.
Bulk and Oversight Tools
- Import Users — in the Actions menu at the top of the page, add users in bulk from a CSV file (username, first name, last name, email, type).
- Session Info — view active user sessions, including who's connected and from where.
