AWS SQS

AWS SQS stands for Simple Queue Service, which is a fully-managed message queuing service provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS). It allows developers to decouple and scale microservices, distributed systems, and serverless applications by enabling them to exchange messages between different components of their applications.

SQS offers a reliable, highly scalable, and fully managed message queuing service that enables decoupling and asynchronous processing of workloads. It ensures that messages are reliably delivered and processed in a distributed system, even if some of the components fail or become temporarily unavailable.

SQS provides two types of message queues: standard and FIFO (First-In-First-Out). The standard queue offers a high level of scalability and availability, while the FIFO queue provides a strictly ordered, highly reliable, and deduplicated message queue.

AWS SQS integrates with other AWS services, including Lambda, S3, and EC2, and supports a variety of programming languages and platforms, making it a versatile and flexible messaging solution for modern cloud applications.
